Maria Hanna

Occupational Therapist

After teaching for over a year I realized that many children face barriers in their learning due to underdeveloped skills or mental health challenges. This encouraged me to complete my Masters in Occupational Therapy. I had the pleasure of working with kids in both the school and home setting for over 6 years. I have helped children develop the appropriate skills they needed to succeed in their environment and overcome challenges (physical and mental health). As a mother, I also know the challenges that caregivers can face when their child is discouraged by day-to-day tasks, and how this can impede the child’s behavior. As an occupational therapist I am equipped with the skills and knowledge to assess a child’s needs in any environment and come up with a feasible plan with the caregivers and the child that will lead to the child’s success.
